Gift or inheritance, and how I can pay?
I have a family friend who long ago is getting old and has no children or relatives in the hand of his farm to. He wants to give his farm and all its assets, including money, to me and wants nothing in return. He has two houses on their land and just want I live in one of them to help care for him until he dies. The property and all other assets are valued at $ 950K.
if you put all the assets of a donor (live) confidence and you are the beneficiary, which controls assets, so it is with us and he comes to you free of tax when you leave.
